Aaaahhh, The Bowls!
Special K and I attended the fundraiser today at ClayWays Pottery Studio and Gallery. (as mentioned previously) I’m really glad I came across that article! I don’t think I would have ever known about it otherwise. My photos are here. This one was taken by K. Very cool idea. I bid in the silent auction for a bowl signed by Robert Earl Keen. I probably got outbid, we left at 1:00 or so, and it had 2 more hours to go. But we’ll see! There was a long line to get in, very well organized bowl selection and payment. They had a little assembly line set up for washing and drying the bowls so you could then have them filled up with soup! K, being the lover of all things small, bought bowls too small for soup, so borrowed one of my jethro sized ones. I had Chicken Tortilla Soup, she had French Onion. Both were yummy and came with our choice from several types of breads. I hope to be involved with it next year. I found a little bit more information about the project here. And, I ended up buying three bowls, one of which is perfect for Ben and his cereal. (Here's a photo of the new bowls, compliments of Karmalized Special K.) Check out her photo set too!
