It's a little grainy, but I didn't want to "steal" the photo from the paper... Saturday game was rained out so the Longhorn Baseball Team played a double-header Sunday against the Youngstown State Penguins. Coach Augie Garrido hit 1500 in the win column after the first game of the DH. He treated all the fans to his favorite ice cream bar, called Great Divide from Blue Bell. It was a beautiful day for baseball!
After that, Ben and I attended a FABULOUS Oscar party! The lovely hostess (Lizzie/Lizard/Taint) had a beautiful tiara on. I didn't do very well on my ballot... wonder what the stinkin' prize was anyway? harumph.

From Nooner's gig at Bigsby's Friday February 18th... Jeff Maher paid a surprise visit! I thought this was quite humorous, how tall he is with the shortest person in the room. Plus, I'm pretty sure Nicole had some heel on her shoe. But maybe not.
So, 6 days to my mysterious birthday trip with Ben! and 233 days to Disney...

This ride is so cool! I finally got a chance to go through Ryan and Laura's cd of pics from our Disney trip. This one's a little blurry, but I love it. THIS RIDE ROCKS! It's in the carnival like part of Animal Kingdom and it spins and goes up and down and Woo Hoo! Ryan was a little concerned about the spinning. Of course we told him it hardly spins at all...and I think the time he rode it it spun more than any other time we've been on it. Hee Hee. Sorry Ryan. NOT! I am so ready to go back already. We'll be there in October. In the meanwhile... Ben and I will be leaving soon on my mysterious birthday trip journey. I guess I should start playing the lottery so I can win some moulah and not WORK! Work SUX!

This cute little boy belongs to my Baby Cuzzin Alison :-). (I know, she's not a baby any more...but she will always be MY baby cuzzin!) Anyway, Cayle just gets cuter and cuter. He's jibber jabbering all the time, into everything, afraid of nothing. In about 6 weeks he will be TWO YEARS OLD. He loves Shrek, so I plan to where my Shrek ears to his party.

Woo Hoo! It's finally here, the day of my first home game of the season. This is actually the Longhorns' 3rd home game, but the other 2 were during workdays this week. Weatherman says 70% chance of rain today, but as of right now the sun is shining. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The 'Horns are currently 5-0. They should have a good season, but unfortunately lost an ace pitcher for academic reasons this season. Too bad, because he is a very nice guy as well as great baseball player. His family tailgated by us at regionals last year, and he was always very polite and friendly.

So, now Ben is going to be a baseball widower, as I have been a Nooner/Bag100 widow for quite some time! :-)

I suppose that is old news... But some things just crack me up more than others. Like THIS STORY from the UK. I suppose eventually that link won't work, but it's about a riot at an IKEA grand opening in North London. Several injuries, some in the hospital over night. All over a couch that had been marked down to 45 pounds (I don't know how to make that symbol)...

Work has been a total bitch ever since I got back from vacation. Glad to be busy, but people are so demanding some times. Everything is NOW NOW NOW!
So to cheer myself up tonight, after working for 12 hours today, I looked at these Disney photos that the so-called pros took when were out there. They have a new deal called PhotoPass now. You get a card with your first photo, then give it to each photographer after that who swipes it. Then when you get home you can log on and see all the pictures you had taken. You would normally have to go to the front photo shop in each park after a certain amount of time to view them and decide right then if you wanted them.... which didn't always work out for us. Half the time we would forget! Ben taught me the cool print screen trick, so here's a couple! Cheers FF!

Here's a few more of my favorites...

Disney was so much fun! 7 great days of eating, relaxing, riding crazy roller coasters, eating... you get the idea. I've posted a few pictures on flickr if you click my photo button over there. We took over 800 photos. (gasp!) Our friends Ryan and Laura joined us out there later in the week and we really had a great time. It's fun to share Disney with friends. We've been so many times, that to share it with another couple makes it all new again. What a great time of year to go, too! The weather was pretty cold the first couple of days, and the parks were empty. On Tuesday, we went to the MGM-Disney Studios, and at one point were the ONLY riders on the Rock N Roller Coaster. That is like one of the top 3 most popular rides in the whole place. So, we rode it over and over and over...
We branched out a bit on our dining choices, and found that every restaurant at EPCOT is great. Ryan and Laura were great chauffers, too. Since they had a car, they drove us all around. They took us "off property" one night to eat at a great place called Ming Court. YUM! We also ate at an African themed buffet at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was FANTASTIC! Can't wait to go back. Heh Heh. Sounds like all I care about any more is the food! Well, could be true, since when we go back in October it will be during the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.....
