Yay for Fall Baseball!
I got a little taste of UT baseball yesterday... only 3 more months til the season begins!!! Woo Hoo! Apparently the first few games will be at Dell Diamond again, as they were last year. Augie's comment on the current status of the rennovations at Disch-Falk Field? "It looks like a Baptist church in Beirut." I guess all the rain we had this summer really hit construction hard. Fine by me - I'd rather go to the Dell Diamond in Round Rock than drive to downtown Austin! It was nice to hear the PING! of an aluminum bat. According to the Statesman, there are 19 new players this year. Of course, just because they are on the team now does not mean they will be there by the Spring. Still, that's a lot of new faces.
