Say G'night Gracie
Well, the time has come. Tomorrow morning Ben and I are taking Peso in to have her put to sleep. Poor baby girl - she can't walk at all, and has quit barking at the Beagle... so I know it is time. She was born May 3, 1990, and I have had her since mid June, 1990. We've been through a lot together...
I'll miss you spot dog.

I've been taking a lot of photos lately - just having fun. Baseball season is here, so I have some from UT's games. Ben sent me the most beautiful tulips ever for Valentine's Day... and of course the Beagle is always a good subject. Here's a few samplings -----------

Quick Trip
Ben needed to go visit Sam Ash, the music store in SA that gives them freebies... and didn't want to go alone. Knowing how I HATE music stores, just ask him, he'll explain why... he talked me into it. It was fun to actually spend 5 hours in the car with him, just us, all alone. He left Wednesday morning at 5:30am for Dallas and got home about 5:30am Saturday morning. Elway and I were getting a little lonely. So we drove and surfed the satellite radio and sang along to every song they offered. Loudly.
The highlight was we got to go eat on the River Walk at our favorite restaurant, Cafe Ole. They have the best margaritas in the world. The food is good, too, but I'm there for the margs for sure. Now we have a better memory to replace our last visit, last May, which resulted in various medical issues! :-)
I love my Ben.

Yay for Baseball!!

This is the most famous Texas Baseball Alum

Finally, opening day is upon us. The Disch is a bit behind schedule (*WHAT?*) and the first 8 games now are scheduled to be played at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Supposedly the first game at the still heavily under construction Disch will be Tuesday, Feb 20, a Tuesday afternoon game against Texas State. Or Southwest Texas as I still call it. I received an email today from UT Athletics, with a map showing the temporary entrance and where the potties are etc., when we are allowed back at the home field. I think it will be a bit crappy going to the games there, especially after being spoiled and drinking beer at Dell Diamond! :-) This statement was at the bottom of the email I received today - "UFCU Disch-Falk Field's $25.8 million renovation will be completed before the 2008 season."
Tomorrow they open play against the University of San Diego, who swept the Longhorns last year... at the Diamond at 3pm. I bought extra tickets and invited the sales agents I work with. Hopefully someone will show up. The weather persons cannot decide if it will be 65 degrees tomorrow or 14. Siberia's air is infringing upon us. Brrr.
