Rock, Roll, and other tidbits
Busy Busy Busy! Driving to BFE South Austin each day is taking its "toll" on me... harumph. I'm enjoying the new job very much, but I need to have an office North please!?! I found a cute little house that has been remodeled for business in down town Round Rock. The owner sent a lease agreement to our CFO on April 11th - so yesterday, after these couple of weeks of asking my boss to check on it, I emailed the CFO to bypass the BS. He hadn't looked at it yet. He hurriedly sent it to the company's real estate guru - who found several issues with the lease. I agree with the issues, BUT LET'S GET A FREAKIN' MOVE ON HERE PEOPLE!!
Anyhoo. She Craves played at Stubb's this past weekend, along with the finale show of By Saturday (Ya sister's got a new DADDY!), Escort Service, and This Life Electric. Fun night - great music. This is the first time I can remember that I liked all the bands that played!
Going to HH with Lizzie and K tonight, and also to the inaugural event of a new ballet company here... should be a great girls night out!
And now I must get busy - it is not quite 6am, but if I don't leave my house by 6:45, I'm stuck til 9:00. Traffic sux.

Awesome Cruise Vacation!
Many edits... I may just re-write the whole post later, but I'm putting up cruise fun bits at a time. So it is very unorganized. I have added video of Jon, Ben, Brent, and Jenny & Walt on the Zip Line Canopy tour in Belize. Lisa, Friend, and I decided to skip it...

Ahoy Mateys!
Well, we're off. I am so EXCITED! I haven't had a REAL vacation in years - one where I don't have to worry about work the whole time. I'll still be checking in, but no workee! I can't believe how butt ass cold it is outside. (That is a Ben-ism, btw) The places we are going will be high 80's and humid - but today, right now, here at home, it is very windy and 46 degrees. I was looking at Houston weather, and am glad I did - I see the Sam Houston Tollway will have some issues at I-10 because they are closing exit ramps... That's our route, and I don't know really how to get around it, so we'll just be ready for a jam there. It may not affect us since we get on the tollway a few miles north of I-10, and just continue on the tollway halfway around Houston. We need to be in Galveston no later than 1pm, and we are leaving Austin around 8:30, so we should have plenty of time.
Elway had a checkup yesterday - he's still the wonder dog. Bad cells are still waaaaay low and good cells are climbing nicely since it's been about 11 weeks since his last chemo treatment. His oncologist is quite the grinning braggart. She says she must have done something right, if she could only figure out what! She is certainly wonderful - so whatever she did we'll just hope it sticks for a long while. Elway, however, will not be a happy Beagle today when we drop him off at his vacation home. I wonder if they will put him in with the cats? He can't be around other dogs because he can't have all his vaccinations...
Well - hasta la vista peeps! Woo Hoo! We'll see many of you Saturday night at the Janickefest!

Hooray for Day Trips!
Ben had some 'bidness' at Sam Ash in San Antonio, so we decided to visit the Riverwalk (of course) while we were there. Our friends Ryan & Laura met us down there for Mexican food & Margs at Cafe Ole. We live in the same town, but at polar opposite ends of Austin... so we only see them out of town. :-)
